The terms and conditions governing the use of our website and plumbing services.

These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the Birmingham Emergency Plumber website at emergencyplumberbirmingham.co.uk and the plumbing services we provide. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

Birmingham Emergency Plumber provides emergency and non-emergency plumbing services across Birmingham and the surrounding West Midlands area. Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Burst pipe repair and water leak management
  • Boiler repair, servicing, and breakdown response
  • Blocked drain clearance and CCTV drain surveys
  • Toilet, tap, and bathroom plumbing repairs
  • Leak detection using specialist equipment
  • Frozen pipe thawing and prevention
  • General plumbing maintenance and installation

All gas-related work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

2. Pricing and Payment

Fixed-Price Quotes

We provide a clear, fixed-price quote before starting any work. The price quoted is the price you pay. There are no hidden fees, call-out charges, or surprise extras added to your bill.

No Call-Out Fee

We do not charge a call-out fee. Our engineer will attend, assess the problem, and provide a quote at no cost. You only pay if you instruct us to proceed with the repair.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the work unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing. We accept bank transfer, card payment, and cash. VAT is included where applicable.

Additional Work

If our engineer discovers additional work is required beyond the original quote, we will inform you and provide a revised quote before proceeding. We will never carry out extra work without your approval.

3. Our Guarantee

12-Month Workmanship Guarantee

All repairs and installations carried out by Birmingham Emergency Plumber come with a 12-month workmanship guarantee. If the same issue recurs within 12 months of the original repair, we will return and fix it at no additional cost to you.

This guarantee covers:

  • Defects in our workmanship
  • Failure of parts we have supplied and fitted

This guarantee does not cover:

  • Damage caused by third parties, misuse, or neglect
  • Wear and tear or deterioration of existing pipework and fittings not replaced by us
  • Issues caused by water supply problems, limescale build-up, or freezing conditions beyond our control
  • Parts or materials supplied by the customer

4. Cancellation

You may cancel a booked appointment at any time before the engineer arrives at your property at no charge. If you cancel after the engineer has arrived but before work has commenced, no charge will apply.

If you wish to cancel work that is already in progress, you will be liable for payment for work completed up to the point of cancellation, plus the cost of any materials already used or ordered specifically for your job.

For emergency services requested under urgency, please note that you may waive certain cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 if you request that work begins immediately.

5. Liability Limitations

Birmingham Emergency Plumber is fully insured and accepts liability for damage directly caused by our negligence or faulty workmanship. However, our liability is subject to the following limitations:

  • We are not liable for pre-existing defects in your plumbing system, pipework, or property structure that are not caused by our work.
  • We are not liable for damage caused by the customer's failure to follow our advice or recommendations.
  • Our total liability for any single claim shall not exceed the value of the work carried out under the relevant job.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of income, business interruption, or damage to personal property not directly caused by our work.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

6. Property Access

By booking our services, you confirm that you have the authority to grant us access to the property where work is to be carried out. You agree to provide our engineers with safe and reasonable access to the areas requiring repair.

Our engineers may need to turn off water, gas, or electricity supplies temporarily to carry out repairs safely. We will inform you before doing so wherever possible.

You are responsible for ensuring that the work area is clear of personal belongings and valuables before our engineer begins work. While we take every care to protect your property, we recommend removing fragile or valuable items from the immediate work area.

7. Emergency Response Times

We aim to respond to emergency call-outs within 30 minutes across Birmingham. However, response times are provided on a best-effort basis and are not guaranteed. Actual response times may vary depending on:

  • Current demand and engineer availability
  • Your location within our service area
  • Traffic and road conditions
  • Time of day and weather conditions
  • Severity and nature of the emergency

We will always keep you informed of our estimated arrival time when you call. In peak periods, we will advise you of any expected delays so you can make an informed decision.

8. Website Use

The content on our website is provided for general information purposes only. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, we do not warrant that the information on our website is complete, accurate, or up to date.
